Nairn Construction is a growing business built on construction careers across Dumfries and Galloway. It’s our people, across a range of sectors, who make that growth possible. We invest in keeping our teams skilled and experienced through regular training, ready for whatever a project needs.
We’re active members of the Dumfries and Galloway Construction Training Group and CITB. We work with a range of training providers to give our teams access to relevant, high-quality development. Nearly all of our workforce are on SVQ pathways, we alsosupport additional training wherever it adds value to individuals and the business.

supporting the industry
We recognise the current skills shortage in the industry, and are helping to proactively address this through employing trainees and offering multiple apprenticeship opportunities. To support this, we cultivate a learning culture with mentoring and reverse mentoring, helping the whole team grow together.
We also prioritise internal promotion and ongoing development, so our staff know there are real opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally. Nairn Construction’s strength is our people — a leadership team with decades of experience delivering major projects for tier one contractors, backed by a workforce we invest in directly. We employ 90% of our team ourselves, working alongside our regular CIS colleagues on every project.
