Our people are as dedicated to our vision and values as we are committed to investing in each individual’s continual professional development through training, coaching, and opportunity. Craig Nairn Managing Director

Craig founded Nairn Construction in 2016 following an extensive career in construction. With many years of gaining experience and developing a broad range of skills in all aspects of construction, Craig rose to the post of project manager then contracts manager for larger construction companies, overseeing numerous multi-million-pound contracts around the UK.

When Nairn Construction was first established, Craig served as a consultant project manager on several well-known local projects, including the McVities Flood Defence project for Story Construction in Carlisle and the new flagship offices of Grange Quarry in Lockerbie. Later, employing a team of people to undertake the civil engineering and construction works in house.

Craig is well-versed in construction, project, and people management, he has a track record of producing work of exceptional quality. This is apparent through every strand of the business and has supported Craig to drive the business forward to grow and thrive.

Craig is an SVQ qualified Senior Manager and member of the Institute of Builders

Michael Kirkpatrick

Construction director

Mike, a construction professional with over 20 years of experience, began his career as an engineer on large building projects throughout the UK, before transitioning to management in 2008. He quickly rose to the position of project manager, overseeing several national, multimillion-pound building projects.

Having frequently collaborated with Craig throughout his career, Mike joined Nairn Construction in 2020, where his tenacity and commitment continue to help the expansion of the company. Mike possesses a wide range of technical and project management skills, coupled with extensive experience in delivering high quality workmanship. Mike has supervised a number of successful projects for Nairn Construction in a range of industries, including industrial, renewables, and domestic, while assisting Craig in growing the company. Mike is a key member of team which was recognised with a Directorship in 2022.  

Mike is an SVQ qualified Construction Manager and a member of the Institute of leadership and Management.

Katie Nairn

Company Secretary

Katie joined the team at Nairn Construction in 2016 on a part time basis and her role has grown and evolved with the company. Katie is Company Secretary, alongside which she oversees HR, accounts and marketing within the office alongside Chloe, Katie has a history in employability, management consultancy and the Third Sector. She is a big advocate of fair work and Corporate Social Responsibility. Katie enjoys supporting the team to reach their potential through training and professional development as well as identifying opportunities for Nairn Construction to support the local community and economy.

Chloe Bell Construction Administrator

Construction Administrator

Chloe joined Nairn Construction in 2022 as a Construction Administrator. She has quickly established herself as a crucial member of Team Nairn, serving as the first point of contact for clients and colleagues. Chloe goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly and is always happy to help.

Chloe is skilled at managing and prioritising the demands of a busy construction office because of her extensive experience in administration and customer service in the construction and agricultural industries. Chloe is also responsible for co-ordinating the organisations SVQ qualifications schedule and supervising our admin assistant.

Chloe holds an HNC in Industrial Systems Engineering.

We handle as much of the process as required in house, whether that’s doing our part as sub-contractors, or offering a full-scale solution to clients, from project management to feet on the ground.
