REQUIREMENTS
Johnstonebridge Community Centre and Development trust is a registered charity that operates from the community centre. It supports community activity in the village and provides a base for local clubs to operate and store materials. Due to continued growth the Trust approached Nairn Construction Limited to provide a quotation to install a storage shed, pathway and overflow carpark as well as to relocate a storage container.
We worked in partnership with the Trust to fit within a complex funding programme and staged timescale.
During the project works, Nairn Construction was approached by another group from Johnstonebridge to quote for and install a confined dog exercise area near to the Centre which on award of the contract we were able to tie into the pathway structure for use by the local community.
OUR APPROACH
On award of contract we worked closely with the client to plan the phasing of the works to ensure we minimised disruption to the local community during the construction phase. All work on site were carried out by our skilled in-house staff.
The key works to be carried out by Nairn Construction are as follows:-
- Site preparation and ground investigation to aid design
- Site strip and cut fill
- Foundations and concrete floor slab
- Steel erection and cladding
- Drainage and soakaways
- Stock and security fencing
- Landscaping and grass seeding
- Slabbing and kerbing
- New access off public highway

Testimonial
“We have undertaken two projects in the last three years, the construction of an overflow car park and linking it into the hall, and the building of a wind and watertight storage shed for all equipment within the hall. Both these were done with Nairn Construction, and they have been very good to work with. Both projects were completed on time and within budget, with the work well done. We also find that the communications with them was very clear and easy to understand and would have no hesitation in recommending them”
