REQUIREMENTS
Nairn Construction was engaged directly by the owners of Grange Quarry Limited to project manage this new offices Grange Quarry development at their existing Kirkburn Industrial Estate concrete batching plant site. Our project manager’s remit was to oversee all aspects of the build, including design, programme, procurement, subcontracts, budget, quality and safety.
Grange Quarry is one of the largest suppliers of high quality aggregates and ready mixed concrete in the region.
APPROACH
After reviewing the initial designs, our project management team developed the scheme further through subcontractor procurement, bringing together a design team to turn the concept into reality. We procured the best available services through a competitive tendering process, inviting reliable subcontractors to ensure the best value and quality for the client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE FOR THIS NEW OFFICES GRANGE QUARRY PROJECT INCLUDED:
- Design Management of all aspects of the build from the structure through to soft furnishings
- Budget control for the project and updating projected build costs

RESULTS
This new offices Grange Quarry project was completed to an outstanding standard of quality. Providing the client with a purpose-built space designed around their business needs. Allowing them to carry out their works in a modern working environment. The new HQ is a clean well laid out space which will see them, their employees and their customer base well into the future.
