We’re now looking for a Working Supervisor to join our team — someone who leads from the front, keeps quality high, and motivates others to deliver their best work every day.
duties and responsibilities
As a Working Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on across sites while taking responsibility for delivering jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll supervise small squads and liaise directly with clients and management to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Duties Include:
- Supervising day-to-day site operations and small teams
- Leading by example in all groundworks and civil engineering tasks
- Ensuring quality workmanship and safe working practices
- Managing daily diaries, material usage, and site records
- Reporting back to senior management with updates and progress
- Supporting training and development of junior staff
- Problem-solving on-site and coordinating trades/plant deliveries

We need someone experienced, practical, and positive — a natural leader who’s not afraid to get stuck in.
You’ll need to:
- Have strong experience in groundworks and/or civil engineering
- Be confident supervising others while remaining hands-on
- Communicate well with clients, management, and team members
- Understand site safety requirements and risk assessments
- Be organised, reliable, and results-focused
- Be able to travel and work away when required
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card (Gold preferred)
- Supervisory experience in a similar environment
Desirable:
- SSSTS/SMSTS certification
- Tickets for plant (dumper, excavator, etc.)
- First Aid trained
