Nairn Construction
Our people are at the heart of our success
Our experienced, multi-disciplinary team is central to how we deliver projects. All site supervisors hold current SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications, and we invest continually in training and development to keep that standard of competence running through every level of the business.
We combine strong in-house capability — our own teams, plant and equipment — with a trusted network of specialist subcontractors and suppliers, giving us control over key elements of delivery while bringing in additional expertise where a project needs it.
This flexible approach means we build the right team around every project, from planning and mobilisation through to completion, with safe delivery, strong site management and high standards of workmanship as the constant.

investing in our people
We’re active members of the Dumfries and Galloway Construction Training Group and CITB, and we work with a range of training providers to give our teams access to relevant, high-quality development. We also support additional training where it adds value to individuals and the wider business.
Nearly all of our workforce are on SVQ pathways, and we help address the industry’s ongoing skills shortage through apprenticeships, trainee roles and mentoring across our teams.
As a Fair Work employer, we build our working environment around our core values: teamwork, respect, integrity, confidence and value.
what sets us apart
What sets Nairn Construction apart is the range of technical capability we bring in house — from groundworks and civil engineering through to complex, safety-critical builds for the energy and infrastructure sectors. That range gives us the flexibility to work as principal contractor, subcontractor or delivery partner, and the confidence to take on projects that call for more than standard construction skills.
Whatever the scale or complexity, we bring the same rigour to every project — understanding exactly what each client needs, and delivering it safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We invest in the communities we work in as a core part of how we do business, not as an add-on. That includes:
- Sponsorship and support of local sports clubs, schools, charities and community organisations across the region
- Supporting young people into work through apprenticeships, work experience placements and school engagement
- Supporting community projects through volunteering and construction work
