duties and responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing site operations to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day site management and coordination of all teams and subcontractors
- Health & safety compliance, site inductions, toolbox talks and risk assessments
- Maintaining site records, reports, progress tracking and communication with office
- Ensuring quality standards and construction details are met throughout
- Managing materials, plant delivery and site logistics
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and driving daily performance
- Maintaining a professional relationship with clients, consultants and inspectors
- Supporting and mentoring site teams and junior staff

We need someone experienced, practical, and positive — a natural leader who’s not afraid to get stuck in.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing construction or civil engineering sites
- Hands-on, solution-focused leadership
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and site health & safety
- Confident communicator across all levels
- Organised, dependable, and results-driven
Essential:
- SMSTS (or SSSTS with view to complete SMSTS)
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in site management of groundworks and/or building projects
- Driving licence + own transport
- Be prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday when required
Desirable:
- First Aid at Work
Temporary Works, CAT & Genny, Streetworks or plant tickets
