Local sponsorship is very much in our ethos at Nairn Construction!

As a company we recognise the support we receive from the local community with the opportunities we are given to price works for local businesses and individuals. We are always keen to give back to our community where we can and one of the ways we can do this is sponsorship.

Sponsorship is the lifeblood of many local community clubs and initiatives and without it they often struggle. The people involved in these clubs do a tremendous amount of work and put in incredible efforts to provide enjoyment for many people and we are proud to have recently sponsored a competition for our local bowling club to give a little back

Lockerbie Bowling Club held their gents’ singles for the ‘Wullie Cannon Trophy’ on Saturday 30th July. The competition sponsored by Nairn Construction was won by Jim Little who beat Rae Graham in the final, losing semi-finalists were Dougie White and Taylor Dixon (also a Nairn Construction employee).

All prize winners were members of Lockerbie Bowling Club. Shirley Robson Vice President presided over the presentation and thanked the sponsors and all involved in arranging the competition. Michael Kirkpatrick our Construction Manager presented the prizes. It was an enjoyable day despite the iffy weather. None of the #teamnairn members taking part lifted the trophy but one of our trainees made the semi-final despite being a relative novice in the sport.

In addition to the Lockerbie Bowling Club, we have also provided sponsorship to some other local clubs including Moffat Rams, Dumfriesshire Pony Club, Mid Annandale Football Club and a couple of individual youths competing at the top end of their chosen sports.
