Nairn Construction Limited are delighted to be awarded the civils, concrete plinth and ducting package on a new Battery Storage Facility for one of our long standing and repeat clients in Erskine, Renfrewshire.
Battery storage is a technology that enables power system operators and utilities to store energy for later use. A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is an electrochemical device that charges from the grid, power plant or renewable sources, and then discharges that energy at a later time to provide electricity, or other grid services, when needed.
Our works will include forming numerous shuttered concrete reinforced bases, totalling 1200m3+
of various sizes and shapes to accommodate the new batteries, transformers and invertors, a new central cable trough, 4000m of ducting linking the trough and bases together, drainage and perimeter security fencing.
This Project is due to run from the end of June, with completion due in late October 2023. Keep an eye out on our case study section to see the finished project.
